Good Eats

Relaxed in my seat,
I grab my belly with both hands
just because it's there.
She places her palms upon splayed fingers,
says she likes me fat
then pauses
and adds, "Because then I always stay skinny!"

She is smiling
and laughing
because this is a funny joke.
She knows that neither of us is worried

or cares.
