Cali-forn-iaaaaaaaaaaaaa, Here I Come

The kid's kicking it on the Left Coast this weekend, watching his youngest first cousin become a man (or so say the rules of the Tribe, ha.) This should mark the end of my ridiculous run of travel this year, which now includes two trips to Cali, two to DC, three back to Oneonta, one to Vegas and one to Minnesota ... since January. It'll be a relaxing time.

I kinda need it after this week's three straight days of randomness. Tuesday, I caught a focus group uptown (whutup $40?), then hit up Pennies for a quick minute, where I watched and got my flirt on like a good BB. Wednesday, I hit up the NuYo with the SUNY Slam Fam, where Bamboo beat Omni head-to-head (Intangibles, whut!) but Eden was the only one of us to crack the second round (Spittin' Imagery, FTW. Crap.) Good night was had by all.

Last night, I was planning on hitting Penny, Marsha and Natalie's three-woman show, Amusing Lies and Lullabies (damn the walking pneumonia that sidelined KD!) and caught up with the PSP Sweetheart for a little HH action pre-show. Checked ALL, and after that rousing success of a performance (well done, ladies) PSPS bounced and the entire ArtStar crew (there were many in attendance) hit the bar across the street and did damage for a long minute. Your boy is wicked on top of his A game these days, but needs to work on the availability radar. It'll come together soon enough. Been too smooth not to. Patience. And such.

UPDATE (11:31 p.m. PT): In Cali now, watching The Strangers with Hermano. This is starting weird, but it's about to get reeeeeeal. Ha. Fuck a Liv Tyler. ;)

I see you just refuse to stay put...I wish!! But after my two months in Dc...it's good to be back home...I missed the folks. And is this a Bar Mitzvah we're attending?? (I'm guessing it's not a Bris Milah *ouch* *painful*) Have fun on the Left Coast..and don't forget to harrass those Left Coast bloggers!!

Seems like everyone and their mother are heading to cali these days. I'm jealous.

Wow. We were this close [Note: pinching my finger tips together, though you can't see it.] to crossing paths on the West Coast. Which is only ironic because we both live on the East Coast.

Headed to Cali in just 3 weeks and four days. But whose counting?

Have a blast, man. I'll sweat my ass off on the UN-air conditioned East Coast for ya 'til you get back.

Bobby - I did enjoy the Left Coast. And totally forgot to harass the bloggers. Whoops.

Also, good golly NOT a bris. I'm only going to a direct descendent's, and even then I'm only watching through my fingers.

laundramatic - Both of my treks have been weekend jaunts, and with fam on tap, the schedule is pretty pre-determined. I've basically seen only the parts of it between whichever hotel, whichever event venue and whichever relative's house(s).

dean - Ha. Crazy. Though you know, we could already have crossed paths here and not known it ...

Seems like no one's counting. ;)

Hope you enjoyed your AC-less weekend. Me, I'm big on the fans.
