Last night, I went down to Rico's place to chill out and get my drink on, and after while, people were starting to hit the bars. Realizing there were only two minutes left in the fourth quarter of the Pistons-Cavaliers Game 5, I grabbed another brew and planted myself on the couch.
I didn't get off my LeButt for half an hour.
Through those two minutes, and two overtimes, in one of the most incredible single-player displays of basketball prowess ever, LeBron James lifted Cleveland to victory, 109-107, by scoring his team's last 25 points, and 29 of its last 30. His teammates COMBINED for one free throw. He did this against a team noted for it's defense, which was shutting down the other four Cavs.
'Bron DUNKED in the go-ahead basket for Cleveland in the final minute of regulation. Chauncey Billups responded with a 3-ball to put Detroit up two, and how does James respond? By slicing through and slamming the FUCK out of the ball AGAIN. He followed that up by making any crazy shot he decided to take in the OTs. Absolutely incredible.
LeBron James, you are my hero.
Gosh.
